Chelsea High School recently launched its first-ever Unified Sports basketball team in partnership with Special Olympics, promoting inclusion, teamwork, and school spirit across the district.

New Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Commissioner Pedro Martinez visited Chelsea Public Schools, specifically 2024 School of Recognition Berkowitz Elementary School, to learn about the district and speak to teachers, administrators and district staff.

The Edgar F. Hooks Elementary School earned "School of Recognition" status from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) as part of Chelsea Public Schools' results from the 2025 Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS)!
